The Role:Maintains the accuracy of employee master file, input of personnel forms. Completes special assignments and straightforward policies and make recommendations. Strong knowledge and understanding of the company policies, procedures and practices. Ability to operate computer for data input and/or retrieval. Good office experience needed.
Location: Salinas, California
Pay Range: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour (based on experience)
Areas of Responsibility:
Register and activate new employees’ personal information in the system
Updates current employee information
(E.g. tax information, address, crew code, pay rate, health benefit elections, job codes, etc.)
Update EE changes on E1 (crew code, pay rate, cost center, etc.) per payroll
Scan and upload employee memorandums, layoff notices, new hire packets, and recall packets
System Master File clean-up on a daily basis
Generate employee recall and layoff list, updates the recall letters and layoff notices, and mail out the recall letters
Collaborate with housing staff, the harvest department, and different agencies with daily notifications as required by the H-2A program
Review assigned reports
Assists with employee training, meetings, and orientations as needed
Update Discretionary Leave of Absences and report them to payroll for processing
Create QR codes for new hires, recall packets, and other required personnel forms
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma and experience in data entry
Ability to enter data in a quick and accurate manner
Bi-lingual, bi-literate in English/Spanish
Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
Ability to be flexible and meet established deadlines
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with JD Edwards, a plus
Travel to our different harvest areas if needed on a short assignment
Ability to work evenings and weekends, particularly during high-volume periods throughout the year
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Compensation:
$20.00 – $25.00 depending on experience.
